Caring for Stainless Steel Kitchen Tools
Contrary to popular belief, Stainless Steel Kitchen tools can mark or rust if they are not looked after correctly. To ensure the longevity of your kitchen tools please note the following guidelines:
  • It is recommended that you wash your tools in warm soapy water or mild detergent before use.
  • Don't use a rough or metal scourer to remove dried on foods as this can leave scratch marks and will remove the polished finish
  • Ensure you thoroughly dry your kitchen tools immediately after washing to avoid water marks and any rust spots appearing.
  • Stainless steel is dishwasher safe, however ensure that you remove all items immediately after the cycle is complete and wipe dry to maintain their finish.
  • Do not damage the finish of your tools. Stainless steel has a protective coating (from the cromium in the alloy used in manufacturing) and if removed through corrosion or wear, it will cause the steel to rust like regular steel.
  • Never leave your stainless steel tools exposed to high temperature for long periods of time
