Market research conducted in Australia in the mid-1980’s highlighted the need for a range of stainless steel tools specifically for the BBQ. At the time there were few dedicated barbecue tools, most people used inappropriate kitchen tools for the barbecue. Wiltshire Bar.B. tools were designed and developed in Australia and specifically designed for the barbecue – tools with various cutting edges that could chop, slice, cut, pierce and tenderise. Wiltshire Bar.B. tools including the famous Bar.B.Mate were launched in 1986. A must have for most Australians. As the Wiltshire brand is renowned for its range of stainless steel cutting edge products it was natural to extend this brand to a range of gardening tools. Wiltshire Garden was established in 1987 and introduced a range of hand cutting tools.
